The Job

Our Engineering Team Lead is responsible for leading and developing a team of talented software engineers and creating and maintaining the software that allows our platform to function. Other responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring the individuals in your team.
• Maintaining and developing new features on our software platform.
• Coordination of the work that the software engineering team need to do.
• Applying software engineering principles to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of our software.
• Responsible for security and data protection when developing our software.

About You

You have great, in-depth development experience using Scala and building software from the ground up.

• You have worked extensively with Scala tools and frameworks.

• You have experience managing a team of backend developers.

• You don’t want to just write code, you want to make it with quality and scalable.

• You are willing to learn. We use Cats, FS2, ScalaTest, Testcontainers, Flyway, among others (you don't need to have experience with the tools we are currently using, we can help you).

• You have excellent English skills.

The Rewards

At Triggerise we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The salary bracket for this position per month is R63,525 - R95,288 in South Africa, Ksh312,011 - Ksh468,017 in Kenya, and €2,818 - €4,227 in Portugal, plus benefits and allowances. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
