Function:
The Associate Director of Philanthropy performs pipeline development through donor research and qualification to support the growth of the Philanthropy portfolio and its revenue. The Associate Director also supports the Senior Director of Philanthropy with strategic needs, including assessing and tracking key performance indicators and budgeting.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES
A. Research donor prospects and lead pipeline development and qualification strategies in collaboration with Directors of Philanthropy (DPs) (60%)
- Identify and research prospective major donors including HNWI, UHNWI, family offices, and foundations.
- Conduct proactive prospect management and identify engagement opportunities across the US.
- Manage a qualification pool and systematically qualify prospective major donors through strategic outreach and research.
- Adhere to ethical fundraising practices as outlined in the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice.
- Collaborate to ensure seamless transitions of donors and prospects into and out of Philanthropy Team management.
- Ensure all donor files are maintained in the current database including interaction reports, correspondence, gift acknowledgements, etc. in adherence with BBEC standard operating procedures.
- Track all donor engagement data in established systems and use data to effectively gauge and continuously adapt qualification strategies towards established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and goals.
- Support Relationship Fundraising Senior Analyst as directed.
B. Support Senior Director of Philanthropy with metrics, reporting, budgeting (25%)
- In collaboration with Senior Director of Philanthropy, establish a system for providing key reports and metrics out of the BBEC database, then implement and maintain the system.
- Track key performance indicators and make recommendations for plan adjustments to ensure the Philanthropy Team is achieving its goals.
- Assist with budgeting to ensure the team is allocating resources strategically in support of its goals.
C. Provide support to Directors of Philanthropy (10%)
- Attend Philanthropy Team meetings and assist team leadership in designing and facilitating use of engagement tools (Mentimeter, breakout sessions, polls, etc.).
- As needed, provide strategic support to Directors of Philanthropy with special initiatives from the Philanthropy Roadmap.

Minimum Requirements:**
Bachelor’s degree plus ten (10) years of related experience.
Most Critical Proficiencies:
- Time management and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working with donors, performing research, and conducting outreach.
- Knowledge of computers as a tool for word processing, communications and organizing. Must possess demonstrable skills using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector and the context in which non-profit organizations operate. Knowledge of the international development space preferred.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize projects.
- Strong English language skills – oral and written.
- Proficiency in basic statistics sufficient to analyze data.

- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Salary Information:
Starting salary for this position is $72k - $92k USD annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience and competency.
